Azra Safdar Foundation keeps students in school through scholarships, tutoring and mentorship — and supports their families with healthcare and relief when crisis would otherwise end their schooling.
Figures from the last three years of scholarship work.
Our projects
Education is our core work. Everything else we do exists to remove the obstacles that pull a child out of the classroom.
School fees, uniforms, books and stationery for students whose families cannot afford to keep them enrolled.
Free after-school tuition centres and one-to-one tutoring, so enrolment turns into actual learning.
Beyond the classroom
Families often need support before schooling is even possible.
A month's essential groceries delivered to households before Ramzan begins, with dignity and without queues.
Monthly support and skills training for widowed women, so their children stay in school rather than at work.
Free medical camps, medicines and treatment referrals for families who cannot afford care.
How we work
Three commitments that govern every rupee the foundation spends.
Every project begins with conversations in the community. We fund what people tell us they need, not what looks good in a brochure.
Each request is confirmed with a home visit before it enters our intake list, so support reaches the households that need it most.
Spending is tracked against outcomes and published, including the things that did not work as planned.

Time and money both make a measurable difference. Volunteers keep our costs down, which stretches every donation further.
Every contribution is tracked against a specific project and reported back. Bank transfer details are on the donate page.
